Hello

There is absolutely no way it has been a week already! I guess it was one of the busiest weeks of the year for everyone but I should still take time to say "HEY!" Christmas was great. My kids have not put down the Wii since they opened it! I've decided that it is great exercize. REALLY. So I am totally ok with them playing that most of the day than them laying around watching TV. Christmas break is almost over. Only a couple of days left. It seems to me like it gets shorter. Weren't we out for like 2 weeks? Now they are only out for a little more than a week. I am going to go back to work on Monday. I can't hardly believe it. My doctor told me he thinks I need to chill out a little longer but I am only going back 1/2 days next week so it shouldn't be too bad. Plus I work for great people and if I am tired they understand. So for Christmas Rick bought me a printer that I had been wanting. It is a KODAK all in one that matches my camera. It prints great pics. So much cheaper than going to walmart everytime. Also, my parents (are you setting down) bought our family (me, Rick, Chase, Tori, Nate, my mom and dad and my brother and his wife) a trip to Disney World. HELLO!!! Disney World. Wake up people. If you have been sleeping through my blog now is the time to pay attention. I am always looking at the Disney section at Scrapfunattic admiring how cute it is and wishing I had a reason to buy it! Now I do! And that is one of the first things I thought of! Isn't that awful?? That's the scrapper in me! I hope you are all doing well! Hugs and Misses.....

Thursday??

I'm tellin' ya as Christmas gets closer the days go quicker. I'm sure it's because I am NOT done Christmas shopping yet! ANYWAY...I have to go back to the doctor today for my, "Oh your healing nicely, Amy!" Speech where I am going to turn around and say, "Really, cause it sure don't feel like it!!!!!" I picked up a Wii on Tuesday. Super excited about that because that helped sort of finish our Christmas. Most of our presents were based on us finding that stupid thing. Not a lot else going on here. However it will start getting crazy starting tomorrow. It's gonna go something like this:
Friday: Tori's Christmas party at school, haircuts at 4:30 for me, Chase & Nate and then Christmas with Rick's parents starting at 6:00
Saturday: Not quite sure yet
Sunday: The Christmas play at Church that morning
Monday: Kiddos out of school. I'm sure after Rick goes to work I will go hang out at mom and dads and probably make goodies to eat
Tuesday: HELLO...CHRISTMAS!!
So needless to say it's gonna get busy. I'm sure it is for you guys too! Chat later.....

This ones for you Renay nay

Ok...this is a layout that I called poor Renee and said...I need paper, just pick it out and I'll be by to pick it up! I knew she would do a great job and it was a layout I really wanted to ROCK because it is of our late Izzy! I am so proud because I am actually getting caught up on 2007! It was and will remain one of my New Years Resolutions to stay caught up (as much as possible) on scrapbooking. I think the only way this has been possible is because I have been home this month. I am going to try and go shopping with my mom, aunt and gma tomorrow. Hopefully I will survive! Ya' never know. I am definantely taking the narcotics along. I may be passed out in the back of the van within an hour but I'm going! Friday night ( I know i am going in reverse order) I was able to get out of the house for awhile and hang out with friends. It was so nice. I was definantely sore by the time I got home but it was so worth it. I laughed so hard (that probably helped strengthen my stomach muscles). It was nice to be able to leave the house for awhile. I have been so cooped up and I really needed a break from my kiddos. I hate to say that but it's like Summer says, "A break helps you to be a better mother!" Or something like that. But thank you so much to those of you who were there (you know who you are) not only for the good times but for making me feel missed. God I hope this hormone thing is NOT turning me into mushy!!! :)~ PUKE!!! HEE HEE!!

I'm Up

But this time not by choice! Tori came and crawled in the bed with me at 1:30 bcuz she was cold and couldn't sleep and then Nate at 3:00! I CAN'T sleep between people at night! I need to be alone or on the edge. I am not a closterphobic person just not a sleep between people person. So with their wiggilyness I'm up! Hopefully reading on the internet and being awake for a while will make me sleepy and I can go back to bed. In Tori's room. Not mine! A couple of things planned this weekend. Hope that they will be fun. I am sending out my Christmas Cards today. They are pic cards to family. I will get that picture on here soon! Not a whole lot else going on! Other than I am starving. What is a good snack food at 3:34 AM and that won't be loud and wake everyone up?

I CAN'T SLEEP

I am so tired of this I can't sleep crap it is driving me crazy. When I was little I used to be up almost all night, too! My mom asked me if I had my days and nights mixed up again! I so wish that was the reason and not STRESS! What makes it worse is that I am in this house all day with not alot to do so I just set and think. Last night I didn't even go to bed until 3:30AM and here it is I've been up since 2:00 and its 3:40! Naturally I will be up by 7:00 to get Tori ready for school. I am hoping this weekend with family and friends will help. I guess I have been getting caught up on my scrapbooking though. That has been the ONLY good thing about being home the month of December. That and not having to be out in the cold. I hope to post some pictures later today!

Bah Humbug

OK...It is officially 7:44pm and the Ozzy/Rob Zombie concert is officially under way. It started at 7:30pm. I am more than bummed that I am NOT there! If I had known that it was this close to my surgery date I would have scheduled around it! You think I am kidding? NO! Yes...I am a hard rocker fan! I will never get this opportunity again. God knows he'll be dead before he makes it this way again. Anyway...It has been a long couple of 2 days. I am starting to take back that bordum thing that I said a couple of days ago. I made a cake for Summer's Aweso{me} class today for a little suprise Happy Birthday for her today. Here is what it looks like! I am obviously rusty and hope that it tasted better than it looked.

Oh well I am totally rambling because I was waiting for my pics to upload to snapfish so that I could order Christmas Cards. Have a fantabulous weekend!

I think I am Bored!

I know...I can't believe that I said it either but I think I am getting bored. I have only been home 6 days but I am not a sit still kinda girl! I know there isn't a lot that I can do but come on! I have watched more boob tube in the last 3 days than I have all year. Speaking of just that I finally got to watch Hairspray and I wasn't as excited as I thought I would be. First and foremost John Travolta is my all time fav actor. There can't be a bad movie if he has a part in it at all. But Hairspray I wasn't excited about. I wish I would have saved my $20 and waited for it to come out on HBO or something. I have been going through Scrap Book Mags (old ones) and even that is not tootin' my horn. So I think we are going to try and leave the house for a little bit tomorrow! I probably won't last anytime at all but hopefully it will get me out of this funk. Rick works tomorrow night and REALLY goes back to work on Saturday and honestly I am really dreading it! He is my safety net. I am hoping to actually scrapbook tonight. Maybe I can get some pics taken and posted in the next day or so! Later Gators!!!

I will Survive!!!

I'm not exactly sure that that statement is true but I am definantely trying!!! Surgery went ok! There was alot more to do in "there" once my doctor had me opened up that he was so not planning on! My Endometriosis had really taken over and I had lots of problems. I couldn't have done this at a better time. Because of that reason I am extremely sore! Can't express how sore. I came home from the hospital on Friday Afternoon. Saturday poor Izzy died. Excuse me..."PAST AWAY!" Tori says she past away, not died. Ya' know like a person. At first she was so bummed. She even wrote a ulogy (sp) for it and everything. Saying how she was such a bad mother because she probably didn't change her water enough. DRAMA! So out to the backyard she went and I haven't heard another word about it! Saturday night I started really not feeling good and by Sunday it was so bad that I had to go back to the ER about 5:00pm for complications. Lets just say lots of medicine later and throwing up and other things you so don't want to know about I am finally up and moving and really feeling my hurt gut! I got up yesterday morning and got the kids around for school, got in the shower to get ready to go to the doctor. Went to the doctor to have my staples removed and then had lunch with my family on the way home. Got home and hit the bed about 1:00 and slept until almost 4:30! Whew. That was so much for me! I am feeling so "funny" and I am having a hard time telling where it is coming from. I am wearing a patch and had to change it yesterday! It is a new kind and I can't tell if some of my "sicky" feeling is from it or not! It has been really nice being able to lay around with the family. Watch the kids play. Be here when Chase & Tori come home from school. Eat dinner together as a family! Something we NEVER get to do because Rick works nights. RICK- that is a whole other story. I honestly could not survive with out my husband. He is not like most husbands. He is the kind that will never leave my side and can't stand to see me hurt. He is there at my beck and call and making sure that everything is taken care of! Fixing dinner, getting the kids to school, not letting me lift a finger! Giving me medicine the works. You name it, he has done it and would never say a word about it! He took off last week and this week to stay with me and help me get on my feet. I am sure that he is so ready to go back to work. He is truely my everything. I am so lucky. My kids have even been the same way. Chase and Tori picking up everything, asking me if they can get me anything. Giving me EXTRA hugs and kisses. They are unbelievable. I am really missing the little things. Like picking up Natey and hugging everyone extra tight. I also couldn't have done anything without my parents. Keeping my kids last week while I was in the hospital and being there for whatever was needed. I have been reading all of your blogs and I miss you guys bunches. I probably won't get to blog every day like I usually do. I will try. But please keep checking in with me. Thank you all of you for your comments, cards, emails, flowers, thoughts and prayers. I really couldn't have done it with out all of you! Until then.....

Good Morning

I hope all of you loyal blog stockers had a fantabulous weekend just like I did. Now that it is over, family is all gone and my stomach is stretched out it's time to get back to the short work week ahead. For me anyway. This will be my last post for awhile. I am checking into the hospital in the Early AM to have surgery. I won't be out until Thursday or Friday and then home to re-coop for the next 4-5 weeks. So I hope that you all have a great next couple of weeks and get all of your Christmas Shopping done. Later Gators!!!

Black Friday

So just as I wondered if anyone else I knew would be out shopping on Black Friday I ran into Kristy & Renee at Kohl's at 5:00 this AM! We were out the door at 4:05am and that was late because my mother's alarm clock did not go off. You know I was dressed and by the door like a puppy that needed to pee by 3:15am! Didn't necessarily get anything GREAT to talk about but I did get some stuff and have some presents bought. I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving and has a great weekend ahead. I hope to pull out some of my Christmas stuff and put away the pumpkins. We are getting ready to eat an early dinner and then head to the Hockey Game. Go Thunder! Hopefully there will be some fights to watch. On and Off the ice.
Later :)~

My Protector

OK...How funny is this?? Last night the kids and I ran down to the beauty shop to get Tori's bangs cut and my eyebrows waxed. Needless to say it had been awhile. SO...I had quite the audience, Chase & Tori RIGHT by my side and Nate climbed up on my lap and was watching, closely. The 1st strip that she pulled I must have flinched (like I said...it had been awhile) so it made Nate mad and he HIT Kendra. She kind of looked like, "WHAT?" When she pulled the 2nd strip he hit her again. He was telling her "NO, NO!!" My baby loves me, what can I say? Did most of my baking last night. I didn't turn off the oven until 10:15pm. I had to go to the hospital this morning to do all my pre-op stuff and when the nurse was asking me questions she said, "Any chance you are pregnant?" I about hit the floor. Laughing hysterically I said, "UH...NO!!" She wanted to know what was so funny and as I proceeded to tell her that I had been there to do this 2 years ago and found out I was pregnant she told me that because of ME and MY situation they have changed the way they do some of their procedures in the surgery. They now make EVERYONE no matter what pee in a cup before to make sure there is no repeat of..."Wake up dear. We couldn't do surgery because you are pregnant!" So that is right boys and girls...I have changed a small part of the world for women that go to St. Joe hospital. I seriously think I should get a discount or something. Anyway...Happy Turkey Day to all of you tomorrow. May you stuff yourself like me!

It Begins...

That's right, the baking begins tonight! I am excited the only thing that I am really dreading is the fact that it will make the house hot with the oven going all night since it's almost 80 again today. I can't wait though. Love the sweets and the pumpkin stuff. Summer I am so glad that you have "discovered" it if you will. Other than that not a lot going on here. Peeps at work are reminding me that I am only here for 1 1 /2 more days. DUH!!! My boss asked me when I thought my anesthesia would wear off so she could call me if she needed to! How about December 31st! Anyways...have a great Tuesday!

80?????

OK...80?? But I can totally deal with it! It could be between 60-80 degrees all year round and be just fine with me! I can't believe it is supposed to be so cold by Wednesday though. Doesn't the weather man know that that is the day I have to go to Wichita and run around. Why couldn't it be today?? So it is going to be a better week. I just know it is! I am so looking forward to this week because my fam is coming from Texas that I haven't seen in like 8 years. We have a bunch of fun stuff planned (besides grazing all weekend) and I can't wait. I have alot of baking to do starting tonight and going through until Thursday morning so please pray for me that I don't burn myself this week! I am starting to look like a leper with all the burn marks and just can't take anymore. Let's just take a moment shall we, "Dear Lord...please let the idiot know where the hot spots are and try to avoid contact with them! AMEN!!" Saturday morning we took the kiddos to see Mr. Magoriums Wonder Emporium. It was good, the 1st hour that I got to see of it! The last 50 min. Nate was not being still and not cooperating so I took him out and went to the arcade. $10.00 later the movie was finally over. We did jump in the foto booth and take some crazy pics together. They are took cute. Of him of course. So I will get them up here later. Since I have decided that this is going to be a good week I started it off by wearing my new favorite tee that my momma bought me on Friday. It is the image above! Have a great monday! Or at least try!!

Thursday Already!

I don't know what is up with me and HOT things but I burn my hand last night on the OVEN! What is the problem. I put If you make an L with your right hand it is all along the inside right there. It so hurts. Even to hold a pen. I made sloppy joes and fries for supper and I dropped 2 fries and a tator tot so I tried to reach in there with my long prong things and touched my hand on the side! AAAAGGGGGHHHHHH! I hate burns more than anything. After work I have to take Tori to the book fair at school and then to Chase's band concert at 7:00pm! So we won't be home hardly at all until probably 9:00! I am so ready for the weekend. I mean really ready. I feel like I am running out of time. My surgery date is the 27th which is 12 days away but the hospital has been calling and the doctors office for pre-ops stuff and I am starting to drown with the things I am NOT getting accomplished. Plus having all kinds of family here for Thanksgiving. Which I can't wait for. My cousins will be here which I haven't seen for 7 years. The last time they were here was when my grandma past away. Which by the way I still think of her all of the time but especially now! Because she died right at Thanksgiving time. Anyway....hope your having a great Thursday!

It's gotta get better...right?

OK...so for a Tuesday things are crappy. My Monday was better than this! I got up early because Rick and I had to be in Wichita by 8:45am. Started getting myself together, got the kids up, dressed, breakfast. Made Rick get up and take them to school so I could finish getting ready! BURNT MY WRIST on the DRYER!!! Actual burn. HELLO it hurts so bad because 1) it's a burn...duh 2) it is right where my watch and bracelet rest so it is rubbing but there is no way I am not wearing them. So hurry out the door get to Wichita have a crappy meeting that I have been dreading FOREVER! Leave and go to Central & Rock to return some glass and to see if the light is on at Krispy Kreme! OMG...it is! It is never on when I go by. So Rick takes me in to get a hot fresh donut and guess what! THEY NO LONGER GIVE AWAY THE FREE DONUT WHEN THE LIGHT IS ON!!! What the HELL! Do they know what kind of morning I have had and it is only 10:00am???? What is the world coming to? I have a thing where I ONLY go when the light is on! As far as I am concerned I no longer have any reason for going west on Central past Rock Road for the rest of my life. Except my doctor is down there. I guess I will have to find another route. I am trying to get off work a little early today because I have a project I am working on. Then take the kiddos to moms while I go to the Yearbook meeting at 6:30pm. At least going to mom's for dinner will be good. Ya' know...home cooked food by your momma!! Hope your day is going better!!!

Love this L/O

What a weekend. I was actually able to get some stuff done yesterday that I had been wanting to do thanks to mom and dad. They took the kids to see the Bee movie and then out to eat. So they were gone for a couple of hours and I was able to change out my winter and summer clothes. Move some things downstairs that I have been putting up. Clean up my room and do a scrapbook page. I actually did 3 this weekend. It felt great because I have been in a funk lately and I think my mojo is slowly coming back because I have ideas and just want to set and get them done. This turned out to be one of my fav l/o's. I think just because it is simple and I love the picture. I am sure one of these days Nate will kill me for it but oh well. Another kind of busy week as usual. Hope you all had a great weekend.

Thursday, November 8, 2007

Hello

So last night I get home at 5:00pm and Tori tells me that there is a suprise b-day party for this little boy in her class TONIGHT (Thursday) @ 5:30pm! HELLO! They sent the invitation to school that day. I was a little leary about letting her go but it was all good and she had a great time. She wasn't ready to go when I got there. My kids are at that age where it's time to let go a little. When do you know that it is ok and that they will be fine. With all of the violence and crap you hear everywhere I never want to let them go anywhere or with anybody that I don't "KNOW"! I mean, "KNOW"! Does that make sense? And naturally they don't understand why they can't go to a simple birthday party. So yes it was a big step for me to take and don't think I wasn't watching the clock like a Hawk waiting for 7:00pm to hit so I could go and pick her up! Actually I picked her up 5 minutes early! Is that bad???

Busy

This is a busy little blog isn't it! I really like it though. I can't hardly believe that it has been a week since I have blogged anything. Halloween was fun. Nate really got into it this year! He just wanted to eat his first piece of candy and that was it! But once he figured out that he could go door to door and get more he was all about it! Nothing else to interesting other than the everyday running around going to school stuff. I am trying so hard to get my house in order and think about where I want my christmas stuff to go! That's right...I said Christmas! Because the 27th is D-Day and I will be out of commission so I want it all done now! Tootles for now!!!

Happy Halloween

HELLO...IS my new blog AWESOME or What? Thanks to Missy Summer! I absolutely love it! It is so me! This morning was Tori's Halloween parade at school and then we had the Halloween party after. Naturally I stayed for the whole thing and got to work a little after 10:00! And I am so hoping to take off early to go trick or treating. I can't wait. Although the wind is picking up and I hope it's not way to cold tonight! SO...Everyone have a great day! I'll definantely be having pics tomorrow!

Happy Tuesday

OK so today's snack was supposed to be Monster Brownies and it was taking longer than I thought (since I didn't even start until 9:30 last night) so they ended up being Slime Covered Ghost Brownies! I made 20 of them. I know, I know but at least a snack went and Tori thought they were cool and that's what mattered. Chase said this morning, "What's witht he Green? Are those radio active brownies?" Leave it to him to totally see something else. The Yearbook meeting was interesting last night. Not very much structure and alot of women saying how about this or what about that? So you know the scrapbooker in me was like, "OK....we need to figure out a theme, what's going in the book and then lay it out!" HELLO! Hopefully the one next week will go better! I'm working until about 4:00 or so today and then my parents are taking me out to dinner tonight for my birthday. I so can't wait for Halloween tomorrow! Later!!

Monday

Monday already! Where did the weekend go? Nothing exciting Friday night and Saturday I ran around ALL day and was exhausted. Sunday went to church and then came home and took a nap with Nate for the last 2 1/2 hours. That was nice! I love laying with my kiddos. I think I actually sleep better. Got up, made supper (it must have been good because the kids had 2nd's) and then made Tori's snacks for school. It is our week to take snacks to Tori's class everyday this week. You volunteer at the beginning of the year for at least 2 weeks! It can definantely get pricy! So I can't be generic and take something simple because I am always finding ways to complicate my life. So today we took Witches Hats. They were really easy to make. Here's a pic.
Hopefully the kids will like them. I made 40 so that everyone could have 2! Including the teacher and the school secretary. Ms. Betty. Love Her! I signed up to be on the yearbook committee for Ewalt. (Tori's school). Like I don't have enough going on as it is! The first meeting is tonight so I am kind of excited to see how that is going to go! This is one of my most fav weeks of the year!

1) My Birthday

2) Halloween

3) My Mom's Birthday

Good Times for sure. Hope you have a great Monday!

Busy end of the week!

SO...Monday and Tuesday weren't bad at all! Last night had Chase's P/T conference and it went great of course! He is such a good kid. You hear that about him everywhere you go and with everyone who has any kind of relationship with him. All of his teacher's said that he was great to have in class, so polite and interactive. All A's & B's and one C! In BAND! Hello! That boy needs to get on the ball with his practicing. He is really having some learning experiences this year. They say that they are getting them ready for everything they have to for 8th grade and then High School because it won't be a breeze anymore. HIGH SCHOOL??? He has to go to high school? He can't stay that playful little boy forever?? Then we went to the church to have a fall get together. Eat Chili and carve pumpkins. I don't have my camera with me so I am going to post pics later. It was fun. I got my pumpkin all cleaned out and when I went to wash my hands Chase and Jacob (with a little egging on by Pastor) put all my guts and their guts back into my pumpkins! WEASELS!!! I think I washed my hands so many times last night that they were raw. When we got home last night Tori was in her room putting on her PJ'S and came running out in the living room with her dramatic little self yelling, "MOTHER...something is wrong with IZZY!" "She has changed color and looks all funny and is just laying there!" My first thought....FINALLY, it died! (Did I just admit that outloud?) She is shedding her skin. She is just fine. So when I told Tori that she said, "Only snakes do that!" NO Tori...reptiles do that. That is what Izzy is! She then decided that she would take it out of it's cage and help it along. NO...are you crazy? You don't peel it's skin. GROSS! I can't believe she even thought she was going to do that! Obviously there are little things that bother her! So today took my mom to the doctor this morning, worked from 1:00-3:30 so I could go to Tori's P/T Conference. Mrs. Martin just absolutely loves her! She does such a good job, is very neat (WHO?? TORI??) and has great grades. I think she lives a double life. Then she asked me if she every stopped talking and then I knew we were talking about the same child. I am so glad it went well. Mrs. Martin even thanked me for giving birth. Because she absolutely loves Tori. Then dropped Rick off at the house so he could take Chase to get a cavity filled and came back to work (to blog of course) and then will leave in 30 minutes to go get my kiddos! Rick is in court this evening so I think we will run over to ScrapFunattic to see what is left of mine at the garage sale. Tomorrow I am getting new highlights in my hair! RED! I can't wait. I think it will be so different. You know on Saturday at my suprise party...I sprayed my hair pink and it really looked more red than pink because my hair is so dark. So that sparked the idea. I hope it turns out and doesn't look purple. Have a great evening.....

Suprise!!!

I just can't believe that Summer Anne!!! Actually...yes I can!!! So for a month now (literally a month now) Summer has been planning a my suprise birthday party. She told me last month at Nate's bday party that there was an 80's crop at ScrapFunattic that I had to go to with her! That it was going to be one of the Friday night crops at the Attic and it was going to be an 80's theme for Halloween. Long Story short and many LIES later...it was a suprise birthday party for me! AND my mom and husband were in on it! Can't believe that! So from the pictures you can see I went in spirit (like why would I not) and looked like a total tool! But it was so much fun and lots of bad food to eat and of course FANTA to drink! It was so nice to do something girly for a birthday again and to be with friends. Long time and NEW! Thanks again to everyone for everything. I appreciate it more than you will ever know. Love ya' Summer!!!!

She Eats!!!

Those girls at ScrapFunattic are just so darn helpful. I know you all know that and I know that also but in more ways than one! I'll explain in a minute. Last night the Fam went out to eat, do some grocery shopping and get Halloween Costumes. We stopped at John's Animal World on the way TO Wichita to buy some Crickets! That's right...Crickets. They were so gross running around in their tank. I know some of you are thinking...Crickets are everywhere. Why don't you just catch one. Because they are bigger than Izzy. The ones we bought last night are the size of my pinky fingernail. .99cents/dozen. At least they weren't expensive. $1.00!!!! So the lady puts them in a brown paper bag (I'm already not impressed) and staples it at the top. I asked for another one because I am double bagging to make sure they don't get out. She says, "Honey, it doesn't matter how many bags you use they will chew threw within 2 hours." WHAT??? Is she kidding? I said, "NO,NO,NO...we are on our way to Wichita and won't be back in 2 hours!" Her: "Well then I suggest you take them home!" I leave in AUGUSTA. This is to Andover. I am not turning around and going back. HELLO!! So...I had an idea. So off to ScrapFunattic I go. I walk in carrying the brown bag and set it on the counter and ask Kristy and Deb if I can have a plastic bag (like the one the kits come in) so I can insert my brown bags into it and seal it to help further contain the crickets. Kristy says, "OMG...is that Urine?" I thought I was going to fall on the floor! Like I would bring you urine! TOO FUNNY!! So Deb says, "What is it?" CRICKETS!!! Kristy said she would rather it have been urine. Always a good time at the ATTIC! Deb gives me the plastic bag and ask me if I ever dreamed I would be buying Crickets. LORD NO!!! But I guess you will do whatever to make your children happy! So 4 hours later we make it home (yes the crickets are still in the bag) and Rick and the kids dump them in her cage. There are 12 mind you...and she starts FREAKING OUT! She is running all over her aquarium and jumping up the sides and every time one of them touches her she has a fit. Her chest is expanding to where I know it is just going to explode. The kids said it was like having their very own Animal Planet right in Tori's room. So they take some out and she chills out. They only left 2 and this morning there is only 1! So...the Izzy watch is still on.................
~Did you know that you can tell the temperature by counting cricket chirps? Here's how you do it. Go outside at dusk or at night and find a chirping cricket. Count the number of chirps it makes during a 15-second period. Then, add 40 to the number of chirps. The total will be pretty close to what the actual temperature is in Fahrenheit.~

Here they are

Stupid Blogger kept giving me an error message when I was trying to upload the pics!!

A New Do

I took the kids to get their hair cut last night! All 3 of them were needing it so bad. Chase got rid of the fro, Nate's is really short and almost makes him look a whole year older. But Missy Mouse...I cut 5 inches off the back of her hair. It is absolutely darling. She has been begging me to let her cut it short for like over a year now and I keep telling her no. I guess this way if she doesn't like it then it will have time to grow out to put it in a pony for Summer. Last night she was talking to Summer on the phone and telling her..."I am just going to have to figure out now what to do with my neck since it's time for winter!" Give me a break! She cracks me up! It is stacked in the back and longer in the front. She looks so good!! Here's some pics...

Izzy

This weekend went by slow and fast! Slow because I couldn't wait for the kids to come home but fast because they always do. I got home Friday night and it was just Rick, Nate & I! He had cooked me a steak and King Crab! Awesome! It tasted so good. He is so good to me. We hung out the rest of the night and then on Saturday I took Summer's Aweso(me) class. It was fun and I actually completed both layouts in class. I was totally focused. That's a first. Then that night it was just Nate and I! We had a good time playing. I don't really just get to spend time with him. It was some good bonding time. Not that we aren't already hooked at the hip or anything. So Sunday after I came home from Church Rick helped me hang a Disco Ball that I got Tori for her room. I wanted to get it up before she got home. It looks so good.

The kids came home about 3:45-4:00 and Tori god love her brings home a LIZARD from Oklahoma. 5-6 hours in the car in a 2 liter bottle with sand. What was my mother thinking? She had caught it on Saturday and had it ever since. She hasn't let go of it. You can so tell too because it stays right with her! It even rides around on her shoulder. I told her there was NO WAY it was coming in the house. She left it outside (checking on it every 30 minutes or so) and then it started storming and raining and she was upset and so I let her put it in the garage. Not in the house, the GARAGE. So Rick comes home at midnight or so and I am telling him about it and he goes out in the garage, gets a small fish tank that we had (5 gallon) and BRINGS IT IN THE HOUSE. Puts it in her room! Has made a home for it! IS LETTING HER KEEP IT! What the...I said not in the house. "Amy...she doesn't get stuff like this and it won't hurt. And she brought it all the way back from Oklahoma." I don't care! So she officially has a pet lizard that she named Izzy. If it gets loose in the house I am so not going to be impressed. Here's some pics. BTW...she LOVES the disco ball!!! Loved It!!!!

Happy, Sad, Happy, Sad

It's such a mixed feeling day for me! I am so excited because I AM GOING TO CROP*A*GANZA!!!! I can't wait! I have plans already to be productive! Hopefully it will still happen. But...my children leave for Oklahoma today! They go every year to our family reunion at this time but I hate it every year that they are gone. They leave today about noon and will come home sometime on Sunday late afternoon! Tomorrow is SummerTime's class and I can't wait! I actually have pictures this time. Well...kinda! Hope everyone has an awesome weekend. I'm off to get Chase out of School so he can go! Thought for the day...

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I am at work and things are going ok and I JUST STEPPED ON A MOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My heart is still racing! Mother....I can't take it! Not the stepping on the mouse part. The part where I felt it under my foot and it is by me and it's liquid is on the floor beside me! You know I yelled at the guys over the intercom because they are always doing something to me! My day is ruined! I think I am going to have to go home!!!!!

Where did the weekend go??

Busy, Busy, Busy as always! OK...so let's start with Friday night. It was homecoming here in the big town of Augusta! Tori is always asking me about Homecoming and what it means and what goes on so I decided to take her! Her teacher's daughter was one of the homecoming queen candidates so they have been talking about it at school too! It was so much fun! I haven't been to a High School football game in forever! Really...Forever! But it was a blast. I got to see some of my old classmates, hang-out and have a blast. Tori loved it! That just made it even more exciting. She was really into the ceremony, talking to her friends that were there and watching the game. She was asking all kinds of questions. What is a first down, what do the mean 3rd & 10, Why is everyone yelling DEFENSE? That is so my girl. I was just impressed that she was even paying attention. She was really into learning the chants that the crowd was singing with the band playing and soaking it all in! She even noticed that some of the dancers were NOT together during half time! Now that is really my girl! hee hee!!!! My friend Amy that I went to school with was there and she has a step daughter that is a freshman. After the game a bunch of girls were coming over to get ready for Homecoming at her house. I so can't wait for that! I don't want Tori to grow up but I can't wait for those fun times! BTW, her teacher's daughter didn't win and my little dramatic girl said, "UUHHHH, how can they NOT choose her??? Shes the prettiest one and the nicest one out there!!" Like she knows any of them! Then Summer came over to my house to decorate Steff's cake. I think I finally made it to bed about 1:30am! I was so dragging. OK...so Saturday we went to Chase's game at 10:15am! That is the last game he will play in! This Saturday is actually their last game but my kids are going to Oklahoma with my parents! Then Saturday night was Steff's little get together! She was so suprised. It's so much fun to see someone enjoy what someone else is doing for them. BTW...Happy Birthday today Steff. Hope it's great! Sunday morning, off to church then home to make lunch and cupcakes for a fall get together at 5:00 out at my Aunt's house. The kids had so much fun. Actually everyone did. The kids were down by the river skipping rocks, catching frogs. Then up the hill to eat and make smores! My kids were so dirty by the time we got home we went straight to the bath! The rag I used to wash Nate is so filthy gross I don't think it will ever come clean. After he got out of his bath Tori was getting ready to get in the shower and I went to get his PJ's. When I came back into the bathroom, this is how I found the boy!

Strattling the toilet trying to will "it" to pee! He is staring down saying, "pee, pee, pee" really quietly. I honestly don't know how he didn't fall into the toilet because before I got the camera he was actually up on his knees. He looked like a frog! Oh well...Boys will be Boys! Have a great Monday!!

Long Time NO Blog

OMG...I can't believe it has been a week since I have been here. Although it has been a Very Busy week! So what's new??? The layouts above in my slideshow!!! These are the layouts that I got done at Scrap*Pink! Which just totally was awesome btw. I completed 13 l/o's! 13! It's so much fun to scrap with others and get their ideas (especially when you are in a rut) and to scrap with your bestest friend ever who just keeps you going and helps you finish your pages even though she has her own stuff to do! You know who you are!!! Miss Summer Anne!!!!!!!!!! It's just like Connie said, "We're a sisterhood!" AND if it wasn't for her and Jennifer Roder I would not have been able to make my most favorite pages of the weekend. The ones with Tori and the pink skulls. I had seen that paper on Alicia Day's website with a l/o that she did! I immediately knew that I had to have it! Plus I had bought Tori that shirt for Halloween with the pink skull and the pink rhinestone tiara! After searching on the internet and seeing that shipping was more than the paper I had decided to wait and purchase it! When I saw Connie using it I asked her where she got it and then Jennifer Roder said, "This paper?" Those 2 came to my rescue and donated to my cause. Giving me the paper, stickers and chipboard stickers to make the l/o! I can't thank them enough! It is, again, one of my favorites! This just goes to show how much scrapbooking means to those around you who have the same passion for it that you do! I am so happy to have new found friends like this! It was totally obvious (since I kept saying over and over and over again) how much I wanted that line and they so generously donated to the l/o! Thank Again! Hopefully, next time we are cropping together I can return the favor! Not just to either of them but to anyone in need! And of course I wouldn't have been able to make it if Summer hadn't jump started the project! I knew I wanted it to be totally awesome, was stuck in a rut so she started it and did the left side and I did the right side! On another note...I was quite busy Monday morning at work and wasn't able to call ScrapFunattic for quickly to get into Crop*A*Ganza! :( Therefore, I will need you to talk to 15 people (since I am 15th on the waiting list) and convince them that it is not worth going! That they probably wouldn't have a good time so that I can go! If you girls could get right on that I would so appreciate it! OK...enough of my rambling for now! Have a great Thursday! ? of the day...

Chisolm Creek Park

Last night my mom called and said that it was just to beautiful to not be outside! So off to Wichita we went and took off for the Chisolm Creek Park on Oliver! You walk through and it is so pretty the way the paths curve through the trees and around the water! There is so much to see and so much to listen to! Tori pooped out quickly. As you can see from these pics she took over Nate's stroller! But he was having more fun walking/running/skipping (yes, he can skip at 2) than sitting in the stroller! We went to look for the Monarch's. We didn't start seeing them until we were leaving. But they are so pretty and big. I wish I had gotten a good pic of them but I got some good ones of other stuff. Like this bumble bee on this thistle! I think that is what mom said it was! Yes I do have zoom on my camera but I actually got close. I could barely hold my camera still cause I just knew it was gonna get me! I hope you guys get to get out and enjoy the nice weather before it turns cold!!!

Wednesday already?

That makes me realize that I don't have what I need together for ScrapPink! Maybe I can work on that some tonight! So I got my hair cut last night and yes Summer it is SHORTER! You knew it would be! I have no patience to grow out my hair even though I really want to! I have had short hair for 7 years now! I cut it short after Tori was born! Does anybody else listen to BOB? 100.5 BOB FM?? I know he plays EVERYTHING but lately it seems like I have heard the song Amadeus! (spell??) You know what song I am talking about? They just repeat his name over and over? WELL...the other night it was on and I asked Chase if he knew what they were saying? He tried to listen closely, finally told me no and I told him they were saying "Hot Potata's"! So next time you hear it say it during the course and it is so believable. You know he wanted to know why they would write a song about Hot Potatos? I finally had to tell him the truth but I can't listen to the song with out singing it the Amy way! I actually have a lot of songs that I sing different words to! I could never go on "Do you know the lyrics?" Ok so enough rambling, I should probably do something work related. My ???? of the day....

??? Can you cry under water ???

? of the Day

It's a rainy gloomy kind of day! The day where, if your like me, you just want to stay home and do nothing but look out the window or watch a good movie! Not go to work and sit because you are not motivated to do anything! So, Tori just got done with a fundraiser. I really dislike them. But all of the Christmas stuff in it this time was Penguins. My mom asked me a question a while back and I had forgotten all about it until I was looking at that crap last night! I for sure don't know the answer so I am passing it on to the rest of you!!!
DO PENGUINS HAVE KNEES????

Hear Ye, Hear Ye!!!!

OK...This is my official vent day! Does everyone around you "get" your scrapbooking??? And when I mean everyone I mean that loosely! Those that know you well will and those that even partially know you will! But does it piss anybody else off when you get that "What is that crap?" or "Waste of Time" LOOK??? So I have admitted that I read more blogs than work and I tried to do it as discreately as possible but sometimes I slip! So today I am looking at a blog w/a pink background (not to mention any names) and it is girly and cool and this KID walks in to empty my trash (who happens to be the bosses son) and says, "You look up the Gayest Shit!!!" I am already in a mood today and don't need lip from a 15 year old! YA' FEEL ME?????????

Lazy days

Sunday is my official lazy day! My don't get out of my PJ's, don't brush my hair or leave the house days! And definately NO MAKEUP days! So Friday was my anniversary and Rick had to work so it was just me and the kiddos again this year! We ate out at McD's (yeah) and then when we came home I let the kids play outside for awhile. It seems like we haven't done that in so long because there is always something else to do. So while we were out there I had Tori take some pics of me! I am trying really hard to participate in Summer's aweso'me' class and I figured if I am going to do that I would eventually have to have pics of myself. Trust me there are none to speak of! So I kept 13 so I would have some. Summer...I know you are impressed there is pink in there! I still have some cropping to do and I think I will make some black and white, but you get the idea. Here are a couple....

Anyway, Rick and I went out last night. We just left for the big hoppin' city of Wichita with no plans, no agenda and nowhere to go. We went to the mall to do some small shopping (which Rick hates, shopping and especially the mall. He avoids it like the plague!!!) and then went to dinner out west at Logan's Steakhouse. Then just ran around after that doing nothing! It was so nice to not have to be somewhere at a certain time and have a schedule or get back home to put the kids in the bed. Or to even have an adult conversation without an interruption. I miss him so much, but being together for that one night makes me realize how much I miss him even more. My mom always gives wonderful advice and here is something she has always said to me that I hope will help all of you girly's too! One day...20 years from now...it is just going to be you and your husband. Your kids will be grown, doing their own thing and it will just be the two of you again, just like when you got married. If you don't take time for the two of you now...then how will you still like each other or have anything to talk about then? She is so great about taking the kids every so often so that Rick and I can be together. And for that I am so greatful. Love you mom! Well...here's to the rest of my lazy Sunday.............

Finally Friday!

It's hard to believe that another week is at it's end! ALREADY! Today is Rick & I's anniversary. We have been married 11 years. I can't hardly believe that it has been that long. Talk about time flying! I don't get off work tonight until 5:00 and he has to be at work at 5:00 so I won't get to see him again today! What a way to spend it, huh? BUT...he took tomorrow off so that we could go out. My mom is keeping the kids so we can take off and do whatever! Thank you mom! I never NEVER get to spend time with my husband. We are always missing each other because he works nights. I have been so sick the last 2 days that I had to go and get a demarol (sp?) shot. I have been totally out of commission! So I am feeling better just in time! I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

IT'S OFF!!!!

The cast is officially off! I can't hardly believe it! After taking X-Ray's they said that the the bones are still a little bent and that they should straighten themselves out in a year! But they aren't anything like they were before. That means that we are taking an extra long bath tonight! He is till kind of babying it and using his left arm alot but the doctor said that he would use it as he learned it didn't hurt any longer. So we are just hangin' out at Summer's house waiting to go to our regular doctor later this afternoon for his 2 year appointment. Hopefully it will be a lazy rest of the day!

18 hours and counting

Can you believe that it has been 3 1/2 weeks since little Nate broke his arm? Tomorrow is the big day when we get that cast taken off! I can't wait! They will take it off and the take X-Rays to see if it has healed appropriately or not! If not it's back in a cast and if so then the boy is free at last! So please pray through the night that I don't have to come home with another cast! I can't take it anymore. I wonder if he thinks it is permanent! You know I will have pics of it tomorrow! We had a garage sale this last weekend that really sucked! Not even worth the effort. Other than that it was a lazy weekend. Tori kept telling me how bored she was so on Saturday afternoon we went to Target and did some shopping. I bought her this new Halloween T-Shirt with the pink skull & crossbones and it has a pink rhinestone tiara! I would give anything to have one for myself. So when we got home we put on a little makeup and ratted her hair out a little and took some pics! I can't wait to scrapbook these! BTW-Alicia...where did you get the pink skull paper and the cherries paper that you used on the go kart l/o? SO cute! I need it for these pics!!!! Until tomorrow.....

Happy Hump Day

I can't believe that it is Wednesday already! Time is really flying this week. Yesterday was my grandmother's birthday. We all got together at my mom & dad's house for dinner. Dad grilled steak & chicken and everyone was to bring the fixin's! Talk about a variety. I made grandma a coffee cup! (Actually Summer did!) I will have to post a pic later bcuz I don't have them with me! She loved it and said that it was to pretty to drink out of! She better drink out of it! Also, my sister-in-law had her baby yesterday afternoon at 3ish! Little Boy! Trenton Christopher, 7lbs 1oz, 18 1/2 inches long! Lots of dark hair! Just like her other 3 boys. I wanted to go to the hospital so bad last night but they said she wasn't feeling well so I will wait until tonight or tomorrow! But I can't wait to get my hands on that little one! I also got another bracelet order from California. I haven't received one of those in forever and talk about killing my eyes to make it! I think it's just because I didn't even start putting it together until 11:30 last night and my eyes were already tired! So I didn't get to bed until 12:15 or so and Nate was up by 6 AM!!! I think I am starting to get used to this only 5-6 hours of sleep a day thing! NOT!!!!!!!!

Busy Weekend

You talk about a VERY busy weekend. It felt like it was non-stop! I am having a very hard time staying awake at work even. So Saturday we celebrated Nate's birthday! It was a lot of fun. There were about 20 people over to the house and we opened presents, ate lunch and had cake. As you can see Nate was amazed by the fire. I hope this doesn't mean that I am going to have a little PyroManiac on my hands! Then Chase had a soccer game at 1:15! Everybody left the house about 3:00pm so it was a lazy evening. But boy was I exhausted. Nate loved all of the attention. I think he is going to be just like his sister that way. He received some money in one of his cards so from then on he was just shaking the cards. If they didn't make noise he threw them to the side. The biggest hit of the party was the 215 balls that my brother brought. LITERALLY. He bought 200 of the balls that look like they go in the ball pit at McD's! And then 10 or 15 small to large bouncy balls. They are all over the house. But Nate loved them. I think everyone else at the party did too because my dad started a ball fight and before you know it they were scattered. So yesterday (Sunday) was actually Nate's birthday. I just stayed at home and didn't even get out of my PJ's. I was so tired. But we had my mom and dad over for lunch, I took a nap with Nate for 2 hours (I so needed that) and then after supper we went for ice cream. When it was bedtime I let Nate go to bed with me. I just wanted to cuddle with him. It's so hard to believe that it has been 2 years already. Rick woke me up at 12:30am wanting to know what he was doing there! I told him to get over it! Today is Grandparents day at school. I know that Tori is LOVING having her gma and Aunt Raylene there with her. It made her get up for school right away this morning when I reminded her what today was. It looks like it is going to be a very busy week for us! Tonight, Chase soccer practice at 5:30-7:00 and then I have to get my Gmas present done for her bday tomorrow. Tue-Welcome Baby! My Nephew is scheduled to be here tomorrow at 1:00 (C-Section) and I can't wait to get to the hospital. Also tomorrow, Chase has pic day at school and tomorrow night is gma B's birthday dinner at my parents house at 6:30pm. Wed-Rick is in court, Chase practice 5:15-6:15! Thur-I have to get bday cakes made for a little boy's first birthday party. And BTW...did I mention that I am having a garage sale on Fri. & Sat.?? So sometime I need to be marking everything. So...I guess I am busy everyday again this week. Although, I don't think I would know what to do with myself if I wasn't! Ya Know??

ALL BOY!!!!

OK...so that statement...All Boy?!? Yes I have 2 boys. And yes one of them is way more onery than the other. But tonight my darling baby boy (who will be 2 on Sunday) FARTED while setting on my lap and when I said to him, "Nate...did you just toot?" He shook his head no and pointed to his sister! Then he took out his binkie and said, "Cat!" Which is what he calls her! Now correct me if I am wrong but he's not old enough for that yet...is he????

September???

Well...It's officially September. That is so hard to believe! And as you can see our family calendar is already 3/4 of the way full! This month my nephew (4th) is due! They are supposed to take him by c-section on the 11th! I can't wait for that! I absolutely love babies and I can't wait until he gets here! So today my girl SUMMERTIME taught her first class at ScrapFunattic and it ROCKED just like her! She did such an amazing job and the layouts were great! I know she is so glad to get over that "first class" hump and can't wait for the ones each month. I can't wait for the layouts either. I hope that everyone has a wonderful Labor Day Weekend. I'm back to unpacking!! Yeah Me!!! P.S. Here a pic of Summer getting caught on camera!!!

Casting Day

WELL...Yesterday was casting day! I wish it was for a movie or something that would make me really rich but it was for Nate's arm. He actually did really good at the doctor's office. When they cut the temporary cast off he just kept holding his arm in the air. I'm sure that it felt funny to him. Plus he had a bunch of lint all over his arm and I bet it was itchy! So the specialist said that as long as nothing happens to his arm (like he finishes breaking it further) it will heal just fine. He has to wear it for 3 weeks (which is Sept. 19th)! You know that day can't come quick enough for me. The doctor said he bets Nate is the kind of boy that is back to see him at 5 & 8! I asked him why he would Jinx me like that?!? I let Tori sign it first when we got home. She wrote a big ol' long sentence on it. Saying how good it looked and how much she loves him. His look in this picture is just absolutely priceless. Like, "Are you done yet?" He has already hit her in the head with it a couple of times also! Today is my gpa's 79th birthday. So tonight we will go out there for dinner and to hang out. Come home, baths, bed and start over again tomorrow. Although, the shop is closed tomorrow and I am not working (making that a 4 day weekend for me) so excited about that! I hope to have ALL of the boxes unpacked before I come back to work on Tuesday. Wish me luck!!

Weekend Madness :)~

This has been an extremely busy weekend for me! I know it has for most of you Ganza*Goin*Girls also! Let's start with Friday night! I rushed to Walmart after work to pick up a few things before Rick went to work. I know that he never has Skoal when he needs it so being the support the habit wife that I am I bought one for him! When I told the lady what I needed she asked me to see my ID! OK...you only have to be 18 to buy Tobacco products? Was I suprised? To say the least! My natural response (not meaning to come across rude or anything) was, "REALLY?" She said I just need to be sure. So you might as well know, I will be 32 in October. So was I excited? OH YEAH!!! Saturday was busy with Chase's game and then to the house to try and unpack more boxes for the rest of the day and night. Sunday I got up and went to Church. Got home ate lunch changed clothes and the kids, went to the Eldorado Walmart and then came home. That was at 5:15pm! We no more got our groceries unpacked and I was just starting supper and I hear Nate let out this blood curdling cry! I run in to see what the matter was and he had taken all of the cushions off of the couch so that he could climb up on the arm part and jump and fly like Superman! Although, he missed his landing and hit the floor. So I am at that critical 10 second window, "Do I take him to the hospital or do I see how the evening goes?" After going to the hospital and arriving there at 6:15 we find out several X-Ray's later we find out that both bones in his right arm are broken. So they put a temporary cast on it and we go back on Wednesday to see the Ortho surgeon to see when they will cast it! Then he wears it for 2-3 weeks. His 2nd birthday mind you is in just 2 weeks. I am sure that this is just the beginning of many trips to the hospital! But...I didn't manage to get one layout done this weekend! I was wanting to get something done since I couldn't go to Ganza!

Bunk Beds...anyone?

Since we have just moved and the basement isn't finished in the house we are living in the boys are sharing a room! Naturally 2 beds takes up lots of space so I am thinking of putting them in bunkbeds. Is this a good idea? Probably not but oh well! So if anyone knows of anyone locally that might be getting rid of some, please let me know. So speaking of the whole moving situation we had to re-look at some of our financial stuff today and if I didn't think I could be anymore stressed than I already was then I thought wrong. That couple of hours of sleep I was getting??? Yeah right...probably right out the door. But on a positive note...I hope that all of you Ganza*Goin*Girls have a rockin' time this weekend. I will so miss you and be thinking of the fun you are having without me!

Back to School Picture

OK...Here is a better picture! Tell me what you think!!

dragging...

OK...so I am totally dragging today! Nate has been getting up by 6:00 AM for the last several mornings. I don't know what is up with that but that boy needs to be sleeping until at least 8:00 am. Especially since I don't go to bed until late! Last night was the first night in literally weeks that I didn't have something planned, somewhere to be or something going on! I almost didn't know what to do with myself. After supper I went in and just sat and watched TV with my kiddos for awhile. Spy Kids 3! Not my fav of course but it was spending time with my babies and doing NOTHING else! I set for an hour and was starting to get really drowsy. SO we started with the picking up, cleaning up the supper dishes and baths and bedtime! I was asked today to make birthday cakes for a little boys 1st birthday party. It's one of the guys I work with...his son. He is allergic to milk and some dairy. That means I have to make a big regular cake for everyone at the party and then a little get messy cake that is allergen free for him. I hope it doesn't suck. The theme is Curious George. Also...a good friend of mine called and told me that she is getting married and they are getting married in November. And BTW I don't like or know how to do any of this wedding stuff so can you just help me plan the whole thing and start telling me where to start and what I need to do? She knows me well because she said, "I know you can't tell people NO, so if you don't have time just let me know!" Like I would say NO to that! Also, Nate's birthday is in 2 1/2 weeks. It kind of sneeked up on me! I need to think of a theme. That way I can decide how to make his b-day cake. Any ideas from anyone? It's not like he's really into anything. He will be 2! But I don't want something way baby either. Or character wise! OK well, I am at work and should probably do something work related. HEE HEE!!!

OK so I am officially doing better! Not that I was really doing bad but I finally did a scrapbook page last night (the first one in like 2 weeks) because I have been moving, unpacking, soccer, getting in to the school mode and everything else! And it was great! I can't wait to locate all my stuff and get back into the swing of things. Scrapfunattic put a sketch challenge on their blog last week (8/13) and I finally got it done! A week later, but it's done! And it is a back to school page so hopefully I won't fall to far behind! I have been thinking of taking that organization class at Scrapfunattic and it is making me think of everything that needs to be organized in my house. I am downsizing so I am using Summer's rule..."If I haven't used it or worn it in the last 6 months it's gotta go!" This is a great time to do it because I am unpacking boxes. Can you say garage sale?? Oh yeah, I sure need to have one! Anyway, here's that page I was telling you about!

Black Toes!?!

NO...not Black Crowes...Black Toes! Although the Black Crowes are cool too!! So...yesterday we finally closed on the house and everything is at the new house and is a complete disaster so I am sure I will be unpacking forever! Since I have been totally whatever with the whole house thing, I decided that if I was going to get through the day that I needed to do something for myself. So after dropping off Tori at school yesterday morning I went to have my toes painted. It's nice to have someone else paint them for a change and she only charges me $5.00 to do it! Which I could buy a whole bottle of nail polish for but ya' know!!! So I went with Black (for my mood) with white flowers. And let me just tell ya' I'm lovin' the black polish. Something I might have only thought of for Halloween and my husband asked me if I was going Gothic and my Aunt let me know that she really didn't like them but guess what???!!! I DO! As a matter of fact I am going to have to get me an OPI bottle of this stuff! To wear year round!

ok, so i haven't blogged in almost a week but that doesn't mean I haven't had something to say! If you know me very well at all then you know that I am a busy person. But I swear this last week, through this coming weekend is going to be the busiest of my life! We moved this weekend and that was one huge mess. I literally have boxes everywhere and I can't stand having a path from one room to the next. So starting Monday we had soccer practice plus trying to go to the other house and pack my scrapbook stuff. That is such a pain the butt. My darling Summer came over to try and help my huge mess make it to boxes but this is the worst thing to pack ever! She is the best help ever. She is really good at coming over and saying, "Ok...where do you want to start?" I give her the deer in the headlights look and she takes over. She also says I have a problem!?! And after trying to pack it...I believe it! Everything else can literally be thrown in a box but NOT my scrapbook stuff. It's like China. I am so not an organized scrapbooker and I have SOOO much stuff I don't know what I have. I am wondering if it wouldn't help me to take an organization class. Because I have bought so much organization stuff but it's just setting. Last night was back to school night, school started today, soccer practice again tonight, back to the other house to try and finish my scrapbook stuff, close on the house tomorrow afternoon, 1st soccer game on Saturday morning and oh yeah, somewhere I have to locate my clothes in all of our boxes. Does it ever end????????

Yeah we have a love for scrapbooking and everybody can meet for dinner, lunch or a movie! But this...total girlfriend, have a blast kind of thing to do! My legs, butt, hips and upper arms...can't hardly move them! I just bought Rick some Excedrin back and body and I am going to be trying that out soon! Would I do it again? In a heartbeat!

Altered Address Book

My cousin is leaving for College soon and I wanted to give her an address book so that she would have family and friends at her finger tips. I also added the local Pizza Hut & Applebees so she could easily order take out! I found this SpongeBob Address Book at Target! It was the perfect size (about 4 x 61/2) so it would fit in her purse. This isn't really the look I wanted so after tearing, cutting, ripping and sanding...this was the final product. She absolutely loved it so that made it worth the while.

This is the before!!
