I tried the Special K protein Meal bar today for breakfast. I know it's supposed to be for lunch but I was in a hurry and didn't get breakfast and just grabbed that. Anyway...I can see why it makes you feel full because it took forever to chew. Parts of it were like chewing dirt I think. But it did fill me up. So I will have to try it as a meal replacement for lunch one of these days with a piece of fruit. Good news...I called Curves yesterday to ask if I could rejoin without all of the fees. I had joined last year and had to stop going (because of my doctor) until after I had had surgery. So I went in with my doctor's note and stopped going. I called the owner last night and she said that she would let me rejoin again without paying any of the service fees. Just starting at the monthly fee. How cool is that?? I go tomorrow to go over my paper work to make sure nothing has changed. (It hasn't...I'm still "over-weight" according to my BMI)!! This afternoon Chase and I have eye appointments at 3:00. I can't wait. It's been 2 years since I have been and I know my eyes have changed. I think Chase is already dreading it. He can't stand the little puff of air on your eye and all of the sit still stuff. We'll probably be there forever. Oh well!

Special K
Does anyone else eat Special K stuff? You know that I am on the "need to eat better" bandwagon but I need to loose weight at the same time. Tori is all worried about it because somebody told her that if you were to skinny you could die! I have a feeling I know who probably told her that and I assured her that that would never be me so she no longer needed to worry about it. So anyway...my mom asked me if I had seen some of their cereal so I bought 3 boxes to give myself variety. Also bought their frozen waffles, protein bar, snack bar and am trying their K2O Protein Water. I had the waffles this morning and they were great. I had the red berry ones. Sprayed them with my 0 calories Parkay Butter and they were only 160 calories for 2. That's 3 points for you weight watchers girls. I tried the cereal this weekend. I highly recommend all of it so far. I would really like to drop some weight before I go to Florida. Which as you can see is fastly approaching. Dad and I went to the Airport on Saturday and purchased all the tickets for us to go to Disney. Talk about making it official. Not that it hasn't been but now it's a reality since we bought the airline tickets. Saturday night we went to mom's for my Uncle Jim's 76th birthday party. We got there at 5:30 and didn't leave until 11:30pm. We just barely beat Rick home from work. We started playing Cranium about 8:30 or so and it was absolutely hilarious. If you haven't played it before I recommend it. Lot's of laughs. Well...hope you all have a great week.

Remember when???
OK...the last 2 nights the phone has rang about 5:30 or so and it has been for Tori. One of her little friends from school. Do you remember how old you were when you started getting phone calls from friends? I don't think I remember before Middle School. My memory isn't great though. I'm afraid it's just the beginning.

I'm Cleared!!!
I went to the doctor for my 6 week check up. Hard to believe that it has been 6 weeks since I had surgery already. He naturally said that all looks good and I am free to taken on whatever I feel up to. Although I do still tire easy. But I am wanting to go back to Curves and he said that's great and it would probably help my stomach muscle some. I'm not exactly sure how. After being cut open 3 times I don't know how there is any hope for that area of my body. The next step is to try and get my hormones back on track. They drew my blood today and hopefully they can figure something out with them. Somebody told me about taking "Black Coash"! Has anyone ever heard of that? It is for hot flashes and hormones. It is some kind of weed I think. I asked my doctor about it today and he said it's supposed to work well. Just make sure you buy the kind the German's make (because they are more consistent with their methods). It's the Remifemin brand. Hopefully if anyone else needs it you can try it out and see if it works. I wish it would get warmer so I could start walking. I want the weather back that we had this weekend and yesterday. Loved it! It could always be in the 60's and 70's for me!!

Hello
I feel so lost when I can't get on the computer all of the time! I was always always always on the computer before I had surgery and now I feel such a void. I need to get some kind of communication to the internet upstairs!!!! Not a lot going on here. I go to work starting Monday my regular hours. Tuesday is my 6 week check up and I am really looking forward to that. I have a lot of questions for the doctor. I have decided that I don't want to look like McNasty at the pool at Disney so I am loosing weight. The best thing I knew to do was to call the health guru! That's right. My BFF Summatime! What did she do???? She took me grocery shopping last Thursday afternoon. We met at Subway in Walmart and she laid it all out for me. Literally. She had my next weeks menu planned for dinner, the grocery list I needed to make those meals, the recipes and clipped coupons for some of the items. HELLO!!! I have totally become the kind of shopper that just runs up and down the aisles because I am always in a hurry and throws whatever in the cart. Not paying any attention to anything. But now, not now. Totally going to be giving it a little extra time to look things over. And still keep some of my fav things in my diet just a different way or approach I should say to eat them. So we set a calorie count for me and so far (for the 4 whole days I have been at it) I have done well. Even under what my "allowance" is. I just wish my stupid stomach would catch up and realize it's full. So...I couldn't thank Summer enough for "showing me the light"!! Seriously girls, talk about true friendship. She's definantely the one that holds my hand through it all. Love ya'!!

Happy New Year
Well Race Fan's I am back at work. Only half days this week. But at least it is getting me out of the house for that some what of a break I am needing from my so called life. So as you can see I am putting a ticker above for our big DisneyWorld trip and that means I have weight to loose. Can't be looking like a McNasty by the pool with my kiddos. And you know that in the kitchen this morning is a BIG box of doughnuts and small candy bars. It's killing me knowing they are back there so I am TOTALLY avoiding the whole area. I brought my apple and it taste delish! Heres to hoping you meet all of your New Year's Goals!!!!

Hello
There is absolutely no way it has been a week already! I guess it was one of the busiest weeks of the year for everyone but I should still take time to say "HEY!" Christmas was great. My kids have not put down the Wii since they opened it! I've decided that it is great exercize. REALLY. So I am totally ok with them playing that most of the day than them laying around watching TV. Christmas break is almost over. Only a couple of days left. It seems to me like it gets shorter. Weren't we out for like 2 weeks? Now they are only out for a little more than a week. I am going to go back to work on Monday. I can't hardly believe it. My doctor told me he thinks I need to chill out a little longer but I am only going back 1/2 days next week so it shouldn't be too bad. Plus I work for great people and if I am tired they understand. So for Christmas Rick bought me a printer that I had been wanting. It is a KODAK all in one that matches my camera. It prints great pics. So much cheaper than going to walmart everytime. Also, my parents (are you setting down) bought our family (me, Rick, Chase, Tori, Nate, my mom and dad and my brother and his wife) a trip to Disney World. HELLO!!! Disney World. Wake up people. If you have been sleeping through my blog now is the time to pay attention. I am always looking at the Disney section at Scrapfunattic admiring how cute it is and wishing I had a reason to buy it! Now I do! And that is one of the first things I thought of! Isn't that awful?? That's the scrapper in me! I hope you are all doing well! Hugs and Misses.....
